I'm more interested in the interview than the music. Sorry, but I just wouldn't pay dime one to see "The Dead" at this point. (I've seen them previously...also The Other Ones, Phil & Friends, and Ratdog, and it all just leaves me wanting...guess it's a matter of taste...but I really did want to see them interact with the "gals.")

Is that portion anywhere on Youtube yet? (I agree it's not a big deal that they appeared on the show...I just wish they sounded better than they do.)

The interview was pretty weak actually. Honestly it was not all Whoopi's and joy fault. Weir and Lesh are really uncomfortable when it comes to this stuff. They were jumping in before the question was finished and some answers quite frankly weren't all that interesting. As for the dead, I agree with you - not what I need to spend my cash on these days, but i hope they do well for the folks who go see them. That is, if they see them. My friend said he still hasn't gotten his tix for Worcester and received notice that they are "working on it"

Thanks, Lobster...based on your description I won't waste time trying to track down the interview.

I still recoil at how lame Weir was back in '82 when he and Jerry appeared on Letterman. Jerry was relaxed and endearing and Bob spent the whole time being mumbly and incoherent and trying to wipe the coke residue out of his nose.

Yeah, much of the same. Weir's delivery gets on the nerves.
